Black Lives Matter Leader Takes Next Step In ‘Race War’, Makes New Demands

Updated November 17, 2017

White privilege is a term often used by Black Lives Matter advocates and their followers. It is a term that means that white people have an advantage over people of other races in America. These activists attest that the government was built to favor white people and that even if laws are enacted the advocate for equality, the system is still highly favorable toward whites. But now Black Lives Matter leaders are doing away with the term “white privilege.” Instead they’re encouraging all BLM followers to say “white supremacy.”

In light of the white supremacist rallies gathering steam across America, the Black Live Matter movement refuses to let it go unchallenged. In a statement from Black Lives Matter, the group speaks about how they plan to fight back against white supremacists and advocate for equality for all.

“The International Ambassador for the Black Lives Matter Network is urging allies of the movement to “stop saying ‘white privilege’ and start saying ‘white supremacy.’”

“Janaya Khan, co-founder of Black Lives Matter – Toronto, released a video last week explaining the semantic differences between the two phrase and the need for the change.”

As you can imagine, the video has been very popular among the Black Lives Matter followers and millennials across the country.

“Popular social justice discourse has used ‘white privilege’ to describe the benefits that come with whiteness,” Khan says in the video. “The problem with describing white privilege is that it looks at the individual as opposed to the system itself.”

As you can imagine, people are upset that Black Lives Matter leadership is changing the tune concerning white privilege. Here were some comments shared on Daily Herald News via Facebook.

Chloe Harris wrote, “I love how they hate it when people make generalizations about black people. And then they turn around and make generalizations about all white people. Sorry cupcake, that’s not how it f***ing works. If you don’t have the testicular fortitude to take it when someone says something you don’t like, it would be in your best interest to not do the same thing.”

Tyrell Clapper agrees, “OMG all this so they don’t have to work hard if you put more effort in working a real job then this group you may have money to do whatever you like just people have nothing better to do.”

“Funny how the name of the group is Black Lives Matter, yet in times of disaster like hurricane Harvey they aren’t anywhere to be found helping black communities. But they are protesting and spreading hate. They are a joke! Just paid protestors and problem starters paid by George Soros just like Antifa and the trolls on articles on social media are,” wrote Brian Ringle from Claksville, Tennessee.

Abra Kaydrabrah wrote, “The only privilege I have is being born and raised in a wonderful country of where I can shoot my guns, salute my American flag, say my National Anthem, say things to my first responders…and go and do as I please.”

What do you think about this new Black Lives Matter stance?
